The depth of field in these images had been used to focus on the small details. The angles used also bring focus and interesting composition to them. In the first image however, there is some reflection which may be distracting. 7/3/2015 0 Comments PatternsHere are my photographs for patterns found in nature. I think that all these images are relatively well exposed and show patterns successfully. I think that the last image could perhaps have more symmetry if I found a better example. These photographs are my examples of manmade patterns. I feel as though the last image could have had a brighter exposure and the second could maybe be more centred.
1/16/2015 0 Comments Negative SpaceHere are some examples of Negative Space photographs, taken in today's lesson. The idea of negative space is that it surrounds the subject of the image, drawing the focus towards it more. The composition of the first two photographs - I feel- works very well with this use of negative space. I have used a similar composition for most of my images, so if I were to do this again, I could perhaps experiment in that area.
Unfortunately, I had some trouble with my camera when taking theses photos at home therefore some are slightly out of focus. 1/4/2015 0 Comments January 04th, 2015The dark conditions made it difficult to get the correct settings for these photographs. Since I had to use a longer shutter speed to let more light in, some of the photos are blurred, especially the third, however I think this gives this particular photo a nice effect.
I like the exposure of the second picture since it uses the rule of thirds and the image overall has the exposure I wanted. 12/3/2014 0 Comments December 03rd, 2014www: I like the composition of the first photo as the lights closer to the lens are more of a focus without being out of focus using the aperture.
ebi: I think the second photo would have been better had I not had to use flash, however due to the light, it was difficult to get a good exposure. The second photo would also be better had the aperture been smaller since it would have shown more skill. 10/10/2014 0 Comments Silhouettes and PerspectiveIn todays lesson, we went outside and attempted our first try at using the camera settings to create silhouettes effects and difference in perspective to create illusions. Here are four examples of silhouettes. I feel that the fourth photograph could be further improved as the faces are still slightly visible; this can be achieved by using a smaller aperture to allow less light in. The second photo could also be improved as it is slightly underexposed. A longer shutter speed could solve this problem.
